The Val d’Orcia is a place that people travelling to Tuscany simply have to visit as the majority of the stunning photos that made them want to discover our beautiful land in the first place were themselves taken in this valley.

- Pienza

Pienza is without doubt one of the most emblematic spots in the valley. Built by the architect Rossellina

When you leave Pienza to head towards Bagno Vignoni, it is a good idea to stop in San Quirico d’Orcia
so that you can enjoy its spectacular rose garden. As well as being a beautiful town, San Quirico d’Orcio is a key point on the route through the Val d’Orcia because the road passing through the town that connects Pienza and Bagno Vignoni is the most photogenic in the whole region. - Bagno Vignoni

Bagno Vignoni is the second magical place in the valley. The centre of this little town boasts medieval thermal baths that make it definitely worth a visit. Those who enjoy the baths may wish to pay a visit to the Hotel la Posta as well as the free ones in town.

- Monticchiello

Once you have visited the town of Bagno Vignoni, I would advise to keep driving along the road towards La Porta restaurant, which has a magnificent view of the tow.
Monticchiello that, like Pienza, boasts one of the most iconic views of the valley. Getting lost in the backstreets of Monticchiello is also an unforgettable experience which should always be finished by having a coffee on the terrace of the
